Visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions. Here are a few things that may help you know what to expect before you visit.
What is worship like?
Our worship is centered on Jesus Christ and grounded in Scripture, prayer, preaching, and music.
We are a smaller congregation with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. You can expect a service that is meaningful, approachable, and rooted in the historic Christian faith.
What about my kids?
Children and families are always welcome at Blackwell Methodist Church.
We are working to grow our ministry with children and young families and want every child who comes through our doors to know they are loved, valued, and part of the church.
What do I wear?
Come in whatever you are comfortable wearing.
Some people dress more traditionally and others dress casually. There is no dress code.
Where do I park?
Parking is available around the church, and you are welcome to use the entrance that is most convenient for you.
If you are unsure where to go when you arrive, someone will be happy to help.
What time is worship?
Sunday worship begins at 9:00 a.m.
Bible Study follows at 10:30 a.m.
You are welcome to join us for either or both.
Do I have to be Methodist?
No.
You do not have to be Methodist to worship with us. Whether you have been part of a church for years, are returning after time away, or are exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome here.
How can I get connected?
The easiest way to get connected is to start showing up and getting to know people.
You can also take part in Bible Study, Men’s Breakfast, Community Meals, seasonal events, and other ministries throughout the year. We believe church is about more than attending a service. It is about growing in faith, building relationships, serving others, and becoming part of what God is doing in Blackwell.
